Fundamentals of CAD

Students explore the fundamentals of AutoCAD for Windows. They examine the industry standards of interior design to produce a partial set of drawings of floor plans and elevations. Students examine the differences between drawings for client presentations and contractor installations. Through online content, interactive follow-along videos, and practical exercises, students draw, manage, modify, annotate, and export drawings of floor plans and elevations. This course is offered online through OntarioLearn. Note: This course is not part of Fanshawe programming, therefore we do not currently enforce the pre-requisites of the host college. Introduction to Interior Design (DESG-1096), and Floor Plans, Space Planning & Presentations (TBA) are both listed as required pre-requisites. Please be advised that experience in this field, or these courses, is highly recommended before registering.
