Signing for Teens-Level 2

Building on the "Signing for Teens-Level 1" introductory course, students should already be familiar with the alphabet, numbers, how to fingerspell words, and how to have a conversations in American Sign Language. The purpose of the second course is to further refine the skills learned/retained in Level 1. Designed for 12-17 year old's, this 20 hour signing class will teach basic ASL conversation and core vocabulary, common signing phrases, classifiers, non-manual components such as facial expression, and body language. Students will have opportunities to practice receptive and expressive ASL skills to increase fluency through conversations and story telling. Deaf Culture and appropriate cultural behavior and etiquette will be explored so you are ready to attend some Deaf community events!
