Internet Essentials

Students in this course, will learn the most important topics of the Internet. The course begins with an introduction to browser basics and basic communications and moves on to Internet searches and much more. No prior computer experience with these topics is assumed. Students will first be presented with an overview of the text, an introduction to browser basics and e-mail. Students will then learn about searching the Web, available information resources, downloading and storing data. The course will progress to cover user-generated content, security issues and Web page creation. The conclusion of the course covers more advanced topics, such as Internet security, wireless communication, electronic commerce and a final overview the Internet and World Wide Web.
