Curriculum Development 1

In Curriculum Development I, students will be introduced the principles and guidelines early childhood educators use to design developmentally appropriate and inclusive programs for young children. Special emphasis will be placed on the roles of play, creativity, inclusiveness and literacy in the development of curriculum which addresses all areas of children's development - physical, psycho-social and cognitive. Students will explore the components of curriculum which address the specific needs of children between birth and age two. Using an activity plan form, they will plan, implement and evaluate an activity for an infant or toddler. This course is offered through OntarioLearn by the host college, Durham college.
