Child Abuse:Intervention & Prevention

This hybrid course provides information regarding the Early Childhood Educator's legal responsibilities in identifying, documenting and reporting suspicions of child abuse and neglect. The course covers types, indicators and causes of child abuse and neglect, as well as preparing students to deal with situations where a child or parent discloses abuse or domestic violence. The role of the Early Childhood Educator and strategies for supporting families and children are also covered.
