College Education Theory

Introduces the participants to the historical context of adult education and the major theoretical foundations of adult education, and examines recent theories and trends in the field of adult learning. Participants will distinguish between andragogy and pedagogy, and analyze the needs and expectations of adult learners in the college context. Participants will transpose theoretical perspectives into instruction design for adult learners based on their integrated relationship.
