Overview

Emotional Intelligence Series

Many experts now believe that a person’s Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ) may be more important than their IQ and is certainly a better predictor of success, quality of relationships, and overall happiness. If you think emotional intelligence is only important for those who always have to interact or communicate with people, think again. Emotional intelligence is a gateway to every aspect of life: mental well-being, relationships, conflict resolution, and leadership.

Module 1: Emotional Intelligence I - Self-awareness & Self-management

1 Day

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to recognize your own emotions, and those of others. More and more scientific research is proving that EQ is just as important (if not more) than technical skills to reach professional success. In this workshop, participants do a deep dive into their emotions, how they recognize/name them, how they manage them, and how they can utilize them to be more productive in their professional and personal lives. EQ can be learned and developed; participants will receive practical tools and resources to build their EQ capability.

Module 2: Emotional Intelligence II - Social-awareness & Relationship Management

1 Day

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) starts with the recognition and control of one’s own emotions, but also translates into being able to recognize others’ emotions and viewpoints. In this workshop, participants will discuss empathy and how it can be used to manage relationships, become better listeners, relate to others and avoid falling for biases and stereotypes. EQ can be a key to success in your life – especially in your career. The ability to manage people and relationships is very important in all individuals, including emerging and current leaders.

Module 3: The Science of Mindfulness

1 Day

Recent research provides strong evidence that practicing non-judgmental, present-moment awareness, or mindfulness, changes the brain, and it does so in ways that anyone working in today’s complex business environment, and certainly every leader, should know about. In this workshop scientific research that supports mindfulness will be discussed, along with applicability of this research in your daily world. Participants will discuss how to use and practice mindfulness to support self-regulation and effective decision-making capabilities, and to protect themselves from toxic stress.
