Living With Diabetes

This course is designed for health care providers working in or planning to work in the field of Diabetes Education. Participants will examine hypogrycemia and hyperglycemia and their impact on Diabetes management. Participants will discuss and illustrate teaching strategies for use with clients who have speical needs, such as learning disabilities, or visual or language impairments. Cultural issues, especially those that deal with the incidence of Diabetes among First Nations People, are presented.
