Recent studies in geriatrics have indicated that involving seniors in appropriate exercise programs has many positive outcomes, both tangible and intangible. Many health conditions common among this population have been found to be alleviated through regular exercise, such as diabetes and osteoporosis. This course will provide some of the background information regarding the benefits of exercise in this population, and give participants the tools to develop their own programs with their clientele.
