Canadian Employment Law

This course will be an examination of the principles of Canadian business law with the main focus on current provincial and federal legislation affecting human resource management in a non-unionized setting including: Canadian Human Rights Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Pay Equity Act, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Employment Equity Act and Ontario Labour Relations Act. The course will also examine the legal implications of working in a unionized environment and working internationally.
