Labour Relations

This course is designed to provide a fundamental and thorough understanding of the subject of Labour Relations. It is presented from a contemporary Canadian (Ontario/Provincial) perspective. The subject is proposed to be applicable to current and future work experience. The interactive relationships of management, union and government will be examined in the context of employment and their impact on each other through the study of the role of labour relations, relevant legislation, collective bargaining, the unionization process, contractual negotiations and disputes, dispute resolutions, wage structures, promotion policies and seniority concepts.
