Nursing Informatics IEN

In this course, Nursing students explore the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for information and health literacies. Students examine the professional application of information technology in professional practice, nursing administration, nursing education and research. In doing so, the students become aware of, and competent in utilizing the professional legal and ethical considerations associated with the use of informatics, including social media and electronic health records. Through active learning students determine the appropriate knowledge sources for nursing practice.
