The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is using the Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (PARE) as a screening tool in the officer trainee (developmental) selection process to assess a person's ability to perform the physically demanding use of force training undertaken during the Officer Induction Training Program at the CBSA College. Students must have a physician complete and sign the medical clearance form to ensure they are medically able to participate in the PARE. Once a medical clearance is obtained, you may book a date for the test. You must bring the medical form to the PARE session. Applicants must successfully complete the PARE in 4:45 minutes or less as part of the CBSA officer trainee (developmental) selection process. If you are successful, we will provide the CBSA with your results. You will also be provided with your original PARE results form, which you will be required to show as proof to the National Recruitment Team when requested to do so.
