Writing for Sales Material

In this course, students examine the craft of persuasive writing as it is applied to sales letters and promotional material. Students learn to analyze the logical and rhetorical structure of effective sales material and to apply similar strategies to their own persuasive writing project. The media's use of literary techniques such ad allusion and irony are examined and students practice the use of such techniques in persuading target audiences.
