    Program Description

    The AutoCAD Operator Training Program offers practical courses to allow the student to become functional with 2D drawing creation using AutoCAD products. AutoCAD is a computerized drafting program used to improve productivity in the work place. AutoCAD can be found in many sectors, manufacturing, construction and architectural. AutoCAD is a value added addition to anyone employed in engineering or design work.

    TAKE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY COURSES:
    CADD-1046 Introduction to Drafting Concepts 1
    This is a foundation course with a primary goal of familiarizing you with the basic concepts of drafting and the use of AutoCAD. Areas of focus include: lettering, annotation, geometry, dimensioning, drawing sheet layout, and other standard drafting procedures.
    CADD-1038 AutoCAD Fundamentals 2
    The student will learn how to use AutoCAD as a tool to create basic two dimensional drawings and to communicate those drawings in such a way to facilitate the manufacturer of the design.
    CADD-3018 AutoCAD Intermediate 2
    The student will build on fundamental skills learned and improve productivity using advanced two dimensional concepts and tools to communicate ideas into drawings. Develop techniques of drawing management, delivery methods and publishing techniques. Work with and create external databases through AutoCAD attributes, tables and spreadsheets.

    TAKE CADD-1045 OR CADD-1051
    CADD-1045 Customizing AutoCAD 2
    The student will learn how to turn the generic AutoCAD program into a customized package that will maximize the productivity of a specific organization. Topics include customizing for productivity, tool bars, macros, menu customization, DIESEL string expression language and AutoLISP.
    CADD-1051 AutoCAD Residential Design 1
    This course begins with a basic introduction to AutoCAD 2007. Using step by step tutorial lessons the residential project begins with a house floor plan followed through to create elevations, sections, and details. Throughout the course new AutoCAD commands are covered at the appropriate time. As well as, discussions concerning Building Code requirements and industry specifications and standards as it relates to residential design and drafting.
