Take all of the following Mandatory Courses:
MMED-6004Visual Communication 13
Extending topics introduced in the two-year MMDP diploma program, this course covers the use of Cinema 4d, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator for Motion Graphics and asset creation for UI Design in the development of Interactive Applications.
MMED-6000Advanced Multimedia Technologies 13
This course will cover the fundamentals of client-side Web technologies for building responsive desktop and mobile applications. Students will be introduced to Back-End javascript using Node.js and Express.js. Students will also be exposed to project management and version control which will be leveraged for use in large-scale projects involving multiple teams/team members next semester. Independent research and development are strongly emphasized.
MMED-6005Advanced Streaming Technologies 13
This course covers advanced topics for developing dynamic Web applications. Students will learn how to implement OOP concepts in PHP, create relational databases, and use MVC frameworks for back-end Web application development. Topics and projects from MMED 6007 will also be integrated into the content for this course.
MMED-6002Interactive Story & Concept 13
This course will explore the creation of Interactive Media applications and Project management as well as thesis preparation critical for the success of the final Thesis.
MMED-6001Advanced Web Technologies 13
This course will begin by exploring the fundamentals of programming. Advanced OOP JS concepts will be introduced to further build up the core coding competency of each student. Focusing on the open-source solutions for dynamic Web applications, students will learn how to implement core Javascript and current JS libraries to create complex, dynamic HTML5 Web sites and mobile applications. This course will also integrate with MMED 6005 to introduce rich-media solutions to the open-source PHP-MySQL model. Independent research and development are strongly emphasized.

MMED-6007Advanced Web Technologies 23
Extending topics introduced in MMED 6001, this course covers more advanced topics in the technologies for developing dynamic Web applications, and facilitates the development of student thesis projects. The course is a combination of lecture/presentation and seminar sessions to facilitate the discussion and development of year-end projects. Topics and projects from MMED 6006 will also be integrated into the content for this course.
MMED-6009Advanced Multimedia Technologies 23
This course will explore the development process for planning and creating an IoT based project using an Arduino uno, modern Javascript (ES5, ES6) and other relevant web technologies . The course will also cover project management and version control for use in large-scale projects involving multiple teams/team members. Student teams will work together to create a fully functional IoT based project. Independent research and development is strongly emphasized.
MMED-6006Advanced Streaming Technologies 23
Extending topics introduced in MMED 6005, this course covers more advanced techniques in web-based technologies for developing dynamic Web applications. Topics and projects from MMED 6007 will also be integrated into the content for this course.
MMED-6008Visual Communications 23
Continuation of Visual Communications 1. This course consists of a greater integration with other areas of the MMDP Post program with a focus on a self directed project with advisor.
MMED-6003Interactive Story & Concept 23
This course is based on the tracking of the design document created in the previous course as part of the Thesis Project.
