    Learn the highly sought-after and specialized trade of meat-cutting. Fanshawe College's Retail Meat Cutter Pre-Apprentice program will prepare you for work in Canada's growing meat-cutting industry. Through a combination of practical "hands-on" learning labs, theory classes and work terms, students will build skills in meat processing, product packaging, professional safety standards and work practices.

    This full-time, eight-month program includes:

    • Trades readiness and value-added skills training;
    • Academic upgrading;
    • Job search techniques;
    • 12 weeks of on-the-job training with area employers;
    • Students will build skills in meat processing, product packaging, professional safety standards and work practices.

    This program is free to qualified applicants.
