Learn the highly sought-after and specialized trade of meat-cutting. Fanshawe College's Retail Meat Cutter Pre-Apprentice program will prepare you for work in Canada's growing meat-cutting industry. Through a combination of practical "hands-on" learning labs, theory classes and work terms, students will build skills in meat processing, product packaging, professional safety standards and work practices.
This full-time, eight-month program includes:
- Trades readiness and value-added skills training;
- Academic upgrading;
- Job search techniques;
- Eight weeks of subsidized training with area employers;
- Students will build skills in meat processing, product packaging, professional safety standards and work practices.
This program is free to qualified applicants.
