Integrating Technology

Technology has affected many areas of our lives: the way we communicate, collaborate, learn, and, of course, teach. Along with that, those advances necessitated an expansion of our vocabulary, producing definitions such as digital natives, digital immigrants, and 21st- century teacher.

Education today requires us to understand the role of technology in student’s lives. This is different from knowing how it works and how to use it. Our classrooms have been transformed so that knowledge can be obtained in an instant by searching the internet and have changed the way we deliver information to our students.

How do we advance our teaching and learning to stay current with technology and the students who use it? Here are some resources to address the changing educational environment available to you here at Fanshawe.
