Take the first step to Leadership

The WSIB Scholars Program is available to students enrolled in eligible business, IT, or nursing programs with an interest in leadership.

WSIB has generously established this program to support recruitment, retention, and employability in the fields of business, information technology and nursing.

Funding

Program CredentialFundingScholarships available (2024/25 Academic Year) 
4-year degree programYou may receive an initial $5,000 tuition payment, as well as a $5,000 tuition payment per academic term for the duration of their program (up to $40,000). 6 
3-year advanced diploma programYou may receive an initial $2,500 tuition payment, as well as a $2,500 tuition payment per academic term for the duration of their program (up to $15,000).10 
2-year diploma programYou may receive an initial $2,500 tuition payment, as well as a $2,500 tuition payment per academic term for the duration of their program (up to $10,000).10 

 

How to Apply

Fill out the application form and provide an essay (maximum of 500 words), describing how your character is keeping with WSIB's corporate values: accountability, collaboration, empathy and integrity.

Selection Criteria

You must meet the following criteria to be in contention for the scholarship:

  • have an admission average of 70% or above upon application;
  • answer the following question: Please describe how your character is in keeping with WSIB’s corporate values: accountability, collaboration, empathy and integrity. 500 word maximum.
  • be willing to participate in a co-op (where applicable)
