Convocation Information and Graduation Guide

Students who complete their programs in the Fall or Winter terms are invited to participate in the June convocation ceremonies. Those finishing in the Summer term typically attend in November. Regional campus schedules may differ. Only students with “graduated” status are eligible to RSVP and attend. Graduation status can be confirmed through WebAdvisor or by contacting records@fanshawec.ca. Students not yet in “graduated” status should ensure they have submitted an Intent to Graduate form for review.

Convocation Invitations and RSVPs

Eligible students will receive an email about two months before the ceremony with a link to RSVP through Tassel. Monitor your FanshaweOnline and personal email inboxes, including spam. RSVP is required to attend. If you don’t receive an invite, email convocation@fanshawec.ca with your student number. Guest ticket info is included in your confirmation, and additional ticket requests can be sent by email. Tickets can be downloaded or emailed from Tassel.

Attire and Gown Rentals

Graduates must wear Fanshawe’s official red gown and stole to participate in convocation. Gowns are rented through Gaspard and are tailored to each graduate’s size. The rental ensures a consistent look, better fit, and hygiene, as gowns are professionally cleaned before use. Pre-orders are $35 until May 26, 2025; after that, on-site rentals cost $65, subject to availability. Gowns must be returned within one hour of the ceremony. Fanshawe does not use graduation caps.
