As you look toward the start of your program this is a great time to start planning for your student experience. You will have access to a number of free services that can help you be successful. Consider using this time to learn about these resources so you can use them whenever you need to. There are a variety of programs, events and sessions you can attend before your program starts that will help you learn everything you need to know. We are here for you.

Pre-Orientation Prep

During the weeks leading up to Orientation Day and the start of your first semester, access a number of virtual sessions that will guide you on important information that will help you prepare for your studies and offer the opportunity to have your questions answered on the spot. 

Orientation

Orientation is a great opportunity to learn about Fanshawe College and what to expect during your time here. Important program-related information will be shared, along with information about services you will want to utilise during your program. All students starting a new program are welcome!

International Arrival & Orientation

As you prepare to travel to Canada, The International Centre will provide you with a number of services to help you prepare for your arrival. Once you’ve arrived, attend events that will help you understand the services you can access as a full-time student, and requirements to ensure you complete your studies successfully.

Indigenous (FNMI) Summer College Program

Summer College is a free program open to all FNMI Indigenous students starting a program in September 2023. This five-week program provides the opportunity to experience Fanshawe, meet staff, faculty and other students just like you.

INcoming

INcoming is a series of five wellness workshops across three days for Fanshawe students. This program covers a variety of skills, such as life at high school vs. college, "College Hacks", dealing with test anxiety, mindfulness and wellness and more!

Fast Forward

This program is for new students who are registering with Accessibility Services. Spend time with our Accessibility Services team before classes start to find out how we can help you with Wellness in College, Technology Tips, Notetaking and Learning, Communication and Coping with Test Anxiety. Prepare to Learn

Prepare to Learn is a workshop series offered by the Library Learning Commons that is designed to provide you with skills and resources to help you transition to learning at Fanshawe College. These non-credit workshops offer academic assistance in math, English, study skills, research, online learning and more!
