Architectural Technology
What do you get when you cross creativity with construction? Architectural technology!
Professionals in this industry produce working drawings for construction of buildings and structures.
In Fanshawe's Architectural Technology program, you'll learn the principles of design and planning, contemporary building methods, and structural and environmental engineering as it relates to architectural construction.
You'll also work on realistic building projects - residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional - and develop a great breadth of knowledge to offer future employers.
Plus, you'll get excellent hands-on experience with four paid co-op work terms.
When you graduate, you'll be ready to pursue career opportunities as a plans examiner, building inspector, facilities manager, technologist, computer assisted design (CAD) draftsperson, designer, specification writer, project manager or technical sales representative.
Architectural Technology is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program.
