IT jobs are in demand!

Get the skills you need to work in the high-demand world of PC, networking and application support.

Fanshawe's Computer Systems Technician program focuses on the installation and configuration of microcomputer systems and networking equipment. These skills are in demand at virtually every medium-to-large business in every industry.

You'll learn all about current operating systems from Microsoft and UNIX, and understand installation and configuration of web servers, database servers and mail servers as well as the basics of security.

You'll discover how to build a network, and be provided the opportunity to develop the teamwork and communication skills necessary to be successful in the business world.

Plus, Fanshawe's partnership with Cisco Systems - the world's leading networking company - is your guarantee that you'll be learning about current, industry-leading technology.

And when you graduate, you should have the knowledge and skills to test for certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), if you choose to do so. You may also choose to apply the knowledge gained to prepare and test for certifications in CompTIA's A+, Network+ and Security +, and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).

For those interested in information security, the Computer Systems Technician program will prepare you for entry into the Information Security Management Graduate Certificate program.

Laptop required. Laptops are used in and outside the classroom to simulate the increasingly mobile nature of the business world.
