Join the Student Wellness Centre for the United in Fitness Challenge this January!
Registration opens December 8!
This challenge will test your cardiovascular fitness and strength. With an emphasis on conditioning style training, you will be required to complete all the required repetitions and exercises as team as quickly as possible. The virtual challenge will be a bit different, encouraging participants to complete as many repetitions as possible on each day of the virtual challenge.
100% of proceeds from team registrations will be donated to Fanshawe's United Way Campaign.
Training starts this January, with challenge week running February 9 to 13.
Idea for students: create a student team and challenge your faculty to see who comes out on top for bragging rights.
Step 1: Build your team
Build your team of two or four challenge competitors.
Step 2: Choose your challenge stream
Recreational
Advanced
Virtual
Step 3: Choose your Entry
Student (in-person or virtual) - $5 per person / $20 per team
Employee (in-person) - $25 per person / $100 per team
Employee (virtual) $10 per person / $40 per team
Step 4: Train
- Complementary access to the Student Wellness Centre (January 12 to February 13)
- Four week training program, including challenge movements.
- Group training sessions with Fitness and Health Promotions students.
- One Inbody assessment
Step 5: Compete
Recreation and Advanced: Both streams will complete daily challenge reps during the week of February 9 to 13.
The advanced stream will be required to complete additional reps above that of the recreation stream.
Virtual: Teams will complete as many reps as possible each day between during challenge period.
