Learn safety tips and find out how to be ready for anything while enjoying free family-friendly activities.
On Saturday, May 9, Fanshawe students, faculty and staff will welcome guests from the City of London as they showcase emergency preparedness.
Everyone is invited to join us for a day full of fun activities, prizes, and personal safety tips. Come visit the College's emergency management staff and students along with emergency personnel from the City of London. Explore inside emergency vehicles and chat with first responders. Watch live demonstrations, get cozy with therapy dogs, learn from community organizations and discover more about personal safety.
You may even get to spray a fire hose!
This annual free event features many fun, hands-on activities for families, including:
- Face painting
- Balloon animals
- Tree giveaway
- Paint a plow
- Contests
- and more!
Several food trucks will also be on site selling snacks and treats.

Location:
Emergency Preparedness Day will be held at Fanshawe's London Campus, 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd. You can enter campus from the north via Cheapside Street to avoid construction. There will be free public parking available in lot 5. Outdoor activities will take place in parking lot 6, with additional activities (including the recruitment zone) inside Forwell Hall.
