For the second consecutive year, the graduating class from Fanshawe's Dental Hygiene program has achieved a 100 per cent pass rate on the National Dental Hygiene Certification ExaminationTM

Fanshawe is one of just three dental hygiene programs in Ontario to achieve a perfect pass rate this year.

Administered by the Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada, the exam assesses whether graduates of Canadian dental hygiene programs and internationally educated dental hygienists meet national standards for entry-to-practice knowledge and competency.

The national pass rate for the May 2026 exam was 87.5 per cent.

"Achieving a 100 per cent pass rate for the second consecutive year is an outstanding accomplishment that reflects the dedication of our students, the expertise of our faculty and the strength of our partnerships with the dental community,” says Stacey Pipicelli, associate dean of Fanshawe's School of Health Sciences. "These results demonstrate our shared commitment to preparing graduates with the knowledge, skill and confidence to succeed as oral health professionals.”
