The Student Well-Being team is excited to welcome you (or welcome you back) to Fanshawe College!

As you start your year, we want to make sure you know the supports available to you through the Student Well-Being department, located in F2010 on the London campus. You can also email us at studentsupport@fanshawec.ca.

In this email, you'll find information about our services and information about your rights, the policies in place to protect and support you, and where to turn if something happens. Fanshawe has policies and supports in place to promote student mental health and address racism, hate, discrimination, and harassment.

Student Well-Being

Whether you need support for your mental health, help accessing accommodations, have questions about your rights, are experiencing discrimination or gender-based violence, or need help with an off-campus housing concern, contact the Student Well-Being team.

Student Well-Being can help you find the support you need, including:

We are committed to supporting your student journey. If you have a question or concern and you're not sure where to go, the Student Well-Being team can help!

Your rights as a student

What policies should I know about?

Fanshawe's student mental health policy (P106) outlines the mental health, well-being supports, services, and resources available to students.

Fanshawe also has policies that address racism, hate, discrimination, and harassment:

Your reporting options and accessing support

Immediate danger or hate crimes:

Anonymous reporting of discrimination or hate: Fanshawe’s SAFER: Supporting Anonymous Feedback on Equity, Hate, and Discrimination Reporting form allows anyone to report on-campus instances of hate, racism, discrimination, harassment or inequity that they have experienced or witnessed.

Discrimination or harassment: Contact the Centre for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Disrespectful conduct: Contact Student Rights and Responsibilities.

Not sure which option to use: Contact us at studentsupport@fanshawec.ca.

If you need support with an equity-related concern, including racism and hate, and sexual or gender-based violence, please reach out to the Centre for EDI (edi@fanshawec.ca). If your concern involves another student’s behaviour, the Student Rights and Responsibilities Office can help you understand the Student Code of Conduct and your options at studentconduct@FanshaweC.ca. For mental health support, connect with Counselling and Accessibility (counselling@fanshawec.ca). You can also find additional support and resources on the current student website.
