On June 6, 2021, our community was horrified and deeply saddened when a London family was targeted in a terrorist attack rooted in Islamophobia, racism, bigotry and prejudice. Five years later, the loss of members of “Our London Family” is still felt today. Fanshawe College joins the London community in honouring the family and standing against Islamophobia. All flags at the London Campus will fly at half-mast on Friday, June 5.
The City of London has developed a webpage with resources and a list of events to remember Our London Family.
For many of us, the memory of this tragic event so close to home is vivid and the anniversary will affect us all differently.
Students seeking support are encouraged to reach out to Counselling Services at counselling@fanshawec.ca or visit the Counselling Services page for further contact information.
