Street closures near London Campus

As part of the City of London’s East London Link rapid transit project, construction continues near Fanshawe College’s London Campus.

What Fanshawe students and employees need to know

As of Wednesday, July 22 (weather permitting), the south portion of Oxford Street will be closed between Highbury Avenue and Second Street. Traffic will continue to use only one lane of travel in each direction, shifting to the north side of the street. This means:

  • Restricted access to Oxford Street from First Street
  • Restricted north–south travel through the Second Street intersection
  • Oxford Street remains open for east–west traffic

Getting to campus

Pedestrian access will be maintained

For those walking to campus, sidewalk detours and temporary pathways will be available. Please follow posted signage and use designated crossings, which may shift as work progresses.

Driving detours

Drivers should follow detour signs and allow extra time when travelling through the area. Navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze can help you plan your route.

Local businesses

Nearby businesses remain open and accessible from Oxford Street.
