This past frigid Saturday night, January 31, students from Fanshawe’s 911 and Public Safety Communications program put their skills and compassion to work by volunteering with The Salvation Army at a local warming space.
Participating as part of their Field Placement requirements, students distributed essential items and provided support to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship. The opportunity offered meaningful, hands‑on learning while contributing to an important community service during extreme winter weather.
We are proud of our students for their commitment to care and service. The School of Public Safety also extends its appreciation to The Salvation Army for their continued partnership and for creating opportunities that allow our students to make a positive impact.
