Campus entrance closures and street closures

As part of the City of London’s East London Link rapid transit project, significant construction work will take place near Fanshawe’s London Campus beginning Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and continuing until approximately August 21, 2026. This includes First Street and the College's west entrance.

What Fanshawe students and employees need to know

The south portion of Oxford Street remains closed between Highbury Avenue and Second Street. As of Tuesday, August 4 (weather permitting), First Street access will be blocked at Oxford Street and the London Campus' west entrance (beyond T Building) will be closed. Traffic will continue to use only one lane of travel in each direction, on the north side of the street. This means:

  • No access to First Street from Oxford Street, and no access to Oxford Street from First Street
  • No access to/from London Campus at the far west Oxford Street entrance (beyond T Building)
  • Restricted north–south travel through the Second Street intersection
  • Oxford Street remains open for eastbound and westbound traffic (one lane only)
