Important deadline for full-time students

Monday, September 21 is the tenth day of the 2026 fall semester (26F) for students in 15-week and 16-week programs. 

This is the last date for full-time post-secondary day students to: 

Pay tuition and fees: 

Full-time and part-time domestic (Canadian) students must pay the balance of fees due for the fall term. After that, a Late Fee of $150.00 will be applied on the 11th day of term. Read more about fee dates and payment → 

Withdraw (with partial refund): 

Domestic students who withdraw within the first ten days of term may be entitled to a partial refund: upon withdrawal, the full tuition and ancillary fees paid for the term or program will be refunded, less the non-refundable deposit and any outstanding fines or dues. After this date students are required to pay all fees for the term in full. Read more about withdrawal and refunds → 

Change registration status: 

Change from full-time to part-time for 2026 fall (with approval). To change to part-time status, students must first receive approval from the Academic School, and must withdraw from full-time status. After this date, students who change status are required to pay all fees for the term in full.

Apply for course credit: 

If you have completed courses that provided you with similar learning experiences as another Fanshawe course, you may be eligible for internal or external course credit. Internal credit is for previous courses completed at Fanshawe College. External credit is for previous courses completed at another institution. You can apply to have your previous course curriculum and learning outcomes assessed for credit using this online application form (NOTE: approved internal and external credits may impact your eligibility for OSAP and Dean’s Honour Roll). 

Change FSU domestic health coverage: 

All full-time post-secondary Canadian students are automatically enrolled in the Domestic Student Health Plan, managed by the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU). The 10th day of term is the final deadline to make changes to your coverage, add dependents or opt out of the plan if you have alternate coverage. It is also the deadline for eligible part-time students to opt in and receive coverage under the plan (fees apply). Read more about FSU health coverage →
