Academic Entrance Scholarship
Overview
Academic Entrance Scholarships is designed to support international students by offering financial support for eligible programs.
- Scholarships are applied to Term 1 tuition fees after the deposit is received.
- Not applicable for online programs.
Application Deadlines
Students must apply within the designated application window.
Scholarship Amount
Students admitted to the following programs are eligible for scholarships:

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Academic Entrance Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
- The student must start their program in January 2026, May 2026, September 2026.
- Deposit is due within 30 days of receiving the offer.
- If the deposit is not paid within the specified timeframe, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
Scholarship Application & Award Process
- The scholarship is automatically considered at the time of admission, a letter will be issued along with the offer letter with details about the student and the scholarship.
- The scholarship will be applied directly to the student’s tuition account and will be deducted from semester 1 fees.
- The scholarship amount will be shown on web-advisor once the deposit is paid.
Spousal Scholarship - 1 Year Programs
This scholarship is only available for specific countries. Please see the list of eligible regions below.
Maximum: $7,000 CAD Total.
Note: Both primary applicant and spouse are enrolled in a 1-year program or two 1-year (1+1) programs.
Overview
The 2025 Spousal Scholarship Program is designed to support international students by offering financial support for families when both spouses enroll in eligible programs at Fanshawe College starting in January 2026, May 2026, September 2026.
Application Deadlines
- Both students must apply for one of these semesters: January 2026, May 2026, September 2026.
Eligible Regions
This scholarship is available for students from the following regions:
- Latin America (LATAM)
- Caribbean
- South Korea
- Philippines
Eligibility Criteria
The primary applicant (student) must apply to a 1-year PGWP-aligned post-secondary program (Accelerated Diploma, Certificate or Graduate Certificate at Fanshawe College.
Note:
The spouse must also be admitted to a full-time program of equal duration. This program may be PGWP or non-PGWP aligned.
- Along with academic and English language proficiency documentation, both applicants must submit a copy of their marriage certificate along with a completed Spousal Scholarship application form.
- Both students must pay the required deposit and fees by the specified date on their most recent invoice to secure their seats.
Scholarship Amount
- $7,000 will subsequently be applied to the spousal tuition account and viewed through the student’s WebAdvisor Student Portal after both deposits are paid (1-year program).
- The student receiving the spousal scholarship will not be eligible for any other Fanshawe College or donor-funded scholarship.
- The primary applicant (not receiving the Spousal Program Scholarship) may still qualify for other Fanshawe and or donor-funded awards.
Application Process
Application Submission:
- The primary applicant and spouse must apply for admission within the application period (Feb 1 – June 15, 2025).
- Both applicants must submit the marriage certificate and a copy of the Spousal scholarship application form with their applications.
Note: We recommend that both applications be submitted at the same time to avoid confusion.
Admission, Fee Payment and the Scholarship Award:
- Scholarships will be awarded at the time of admission. A letter with the complete details will be issued.
- Both partners must confirm acceptance and pay the required tuition deposit within 30 days of receiving their offer.

Withdrawal Process:
- In the event one or both study permit applications are denied, deposit refunds for both students will be issued less $250 per student.
Program Changes:
- Students may choose to change programs, however program changes will automatically void any or all scholarship offers.
Spousal Scholarship 2-year Programs
Overview
The 2025 Spousal Scholarship Program is designed to support international students by offering financial support for families when both spouses enroll in eligible programs at Fanshawe College starting in January 2026, May 2026, September 2026.

- Along with academic and English language proficiency documentation, both applicants must submit a copy of their marriage certificate along with a complete Spousal Scholarship application form.
- Both students must pay the required deposit and fees by the specified date on their most recent invoice to secure their seats.
Conditions
- Term 2 payment is contingent on both students maintaining good academic standing.
- The scholarship will be automatically applied to eligible student accounts and could be viewed through the student’s WebAdvisor Student Portal after the deposit is paid.
- The student receiving the spousal scholarship will not be eligible for any other Fanshawe College or donor funded scholarship.

How do I apply for the Academic Entrance Scholarship?
You don’t need to submit a separate application for the Academic Entrance Scholarship. All international students who meet the eligibility criteria are automatically considered at the time of admission. The scholarship will be applied to your Term 1 tuition fees once the required deposit is paid and will be visible on your WebAdvisor Student Portal.
How do I apply for the Spousal Scholarship?
- Apply for admission for programs starting in January 2026, May 2026, September 2026.

When will the Spousal Scholarship amount appear on my WebAdvisor account?
If you choose to change your program, any Spousal Scholarship offers will be automatically voided. It’s important to finalize your program choices before accepting your offer and paying your deposit to retain your scholarship eligibility.
What happens if my study permit application is denied?
If one or both study permit applications are denied, Fanshawe College will issue a deposit refund for both students, less $250 CAD per student.
