You can print your card after the 10th day of classes in any semester. 

  1. Go to
  2. Select “Fanshawe College”
  3. Click “Your Space” from the top menu
  4. Enter your Date of Birth and Student Number
  5. Print

Note:  If you need to visit a medical clinic before you have your card, please keep your payment receipts and mail your claim after the 10th day for re-imbursement. 


Full-time Students  

Health Insurance is billed on an annual basis.   

Students starting in the Fall term will be invoiced for the full year of coverage (September 1 to August 31). 


Students starting in the Winter term will be invoiced (pro-rated) for coverage for the remaining months of the academic year (January 1 to August 31).  

Students starting in the Summer term will be invoiced (pro-rated) for coverage for the remaining months of the academic year (May 1 to August 31). 

If your program continues in September, that is the beginning of the billing cycle for the next academic year.  

Note: Students who graduate continue to be covered by Morcare until the end of their current academic year (i.e. August 31). If you are graduating in December and leaving Canada, please email to request a copy of the rebate form which will be sent to Morcare. The deadline to submit the completed form is January 30. 

Early Arrival 

Insurance shall commence 30 days prior to the policy effective date. Early arrival coverage applies to first-year students only.  This is a one-time benefit that applies to medical services. 

Examples of services covered (medically required): walk-in clinic, emergency room, blood tests, x-rays, medical exams required by your Fanshawe program of study.  


Services not covered: There is no coverage for medical exams related to immigration or visa applications.  Drug, dental, extended health and vision are not included in Early Arrival Coverage. 

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Students  

  • Students pay for coverage two months at a time and have the option to purchase coverage between EAP terms and the start of a post-secondary program. 
  • For example, if your EAP term starts in September and ends in October, you have coverage for the entire month of September and October. 
  • Note:  You have the option to purchase coverage from Morcare within three business days of the end of your EAP term, if you are returning to Fanshawe for a post-secondary program. Please email to make this request.  Coverage should be purchased for gaps in studies between EAP and post-secondary programs if you remain in Canada. 

Family Coverage 

As a student, you may purchase a family plan at any time within 30 days of your program start date for the academic year. 


For example, September-start students are eligible in September, January-start students are eligible in January, and May-start students are eligible in May. If you need to purchase family coverage outside of your eligibility period due to birth of a child, or arrival of your family members, please contact Morcare within 30 days of the event to discuss whether you qualify.

  • If your program does not start in September, January, or May, please call Morcare to complete a manual application. 
  • Enter your student number and information 
  • Follow the prompts to enter your child(ren) and/or spouse’s information 
  • Pay with credit card 
  • You will receive a confirmation email.
