Media are invited to join Fanshawe as the College prepares to welcome students back to residence this weekend in time for the start of the fall semester.

More than 1,600 students will live in one of the College's residence buildings at the London Campus. Just over 1,300 of these students are beginning their first year of post-secondary education.

"For many students, moving into residence is their first big step into college life and, for many of our first-year students, their first time living away from home," says Erica Robertson, general manager of Fanshawe's Residence and Conference Centre. "There’s always a lot of excitement on move-in weekend, along with some nerves for both students and parents. Our goal is to make the experience feel organized, welcoming and supportive from the moment they arrive."

Move-in takes place on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6. Students will be greeted by a large group of volunteers along with residence staff and residence advisors who will help students get settled in their new home away from home.
