Starting Monday, September 22, the intersection of Second Street and Oxford Street will be closed to through traffic until Friday, October 3 (weather permitting) to allow city crews to safely complete underground work.
Drivers should follow posted signage and take detour routes. Local traffic and pedestrian access will still be maintained for impacted businesses.
Traffic will be rerouted:
- Oxford Street detour: Highbury Avenue to Huron Street to Clarke Road
- Second Street detour: Cheapside Street to Third Street to Dundas Street
With increased construction activity, check your route, allow extra time and plan ahead using a navigation app such as Waze or Google Maps.
Further details can be found on the City of London's website.
