To provide students currently studying at Fanshawe with quick and easy access to information they need to know, the student-facing content on Myfanshawe.ca has been moved to https://www.fanshawec.ca/current-students.
The migration to the College’s public website will provide students with an even better experience. On fanshawec.ca, students and their supporters:
- Will find much needed information easier and in one place
- Can now use website search engines to find what they need
- Can access student-facing content without using multi-factor authentication
Prospective and current students – as well as employees – were surveyed to understand how they used Myfanshawe.ca. After conducting a thorough review of their findings, our web and marketing team found that having information on our public website will create a seamless user experience for students to find what they need.
On the Fanshawe College website, students will now find:
- Program information
- Financial information
- Registration and application deadlines
- Upcoming events and news
- Student services, such as career and employment services, housing support as well contact information for the services they need
The new design of our website is built around the user experience. There are new student hub landing pages and updated content for current students, which have been designed to be found as one would naturally search. Current students and prospective students can find the information applicable to them through unique creative elements and style templates.
While the student portal has moved to Fanshawe College’s website, Myfanshawe.ca has been an important platform that provided students with news and information about the College. Many dedicated people worked on the site to keep them informed, including those who worked on developing content strategy, creating and reviewing content as well as platform development. Their work provided an important foundation that was crucial for the successful move to www.fanshawec.ca.
Note: The employee portal, where Fanshawe employees get their news and information, continues on SharePoint.
Note: The process to discontinue MyFanshawe.ca will now begin and continue over the next few weeks. This includes archiving current student pages and scanning the employee portal to update links to point to the website. Please review your regular email/digital communications to ensure your links are updated and contact your Marketing Officer to update any print materials.
