Recent graduates from Fanshawe's Dental Hygiene advanced diploma program recently achieved a 100 per cent pass rate on the National Dental Hygiene Certification Examination™. This achievement puts Fanshawe's results on par with degree programs across Canada.
The exam, administered by the Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada, "measures the knowledge of new graduates from Canadian dental hygiene (DH) programs and internationally trained DH Professionals, against current national DH practice and educational standards" according to the federation's website.
"This outstanding achievement is a true reflection of the dedication, expertise, and collaboration of our students, faculty, and industry partners," says Lyndsay Fitzgeorge, associate dean of Fanshawe's School of Health Sciences. "To the DH team, thank you for your exceptional work, energy, and mentorship. Your commitment to student success, the Dental Hygiene program, and the profession is clearly reflected in these results."
