Welcome to the Employer hub!
Connect with Students
Industry Nights
These FREE networking events provide students an opportunity to learn about the industries and sectors related to their areas of study. For employers, it’s an opportunity to get to know our students, provide information about careers and co-op opportunities, as well as various practice areas within your organization.
For more information on Industry Nights, contact the Career Consultant or Co-op Consultant for your program of choice.
Employer Panels
Throughout the year, we host various events to help prepare students and graduates for their future careers (Ignite Career Conference, Fanshawe Works, etc.). These events often include an employer panel with participating employers providing valuable information to students. We are always looking for new employers to participate in these panels.
There is no cost to participate on an employee panel. To learn more, please contact Murilo Tamburus.
Virtual Info Sessions
These sessions are an opportunity for employers to meet with students, present their organization and discuss any open positions they may be recruiting for.
These events are promoted to our students through our internal student portal and social media channels. Employers are also welcome to share event info on their social channels.
We recommend promoting these events for 2 weeks to generate maximum interest. Our consultants will reach out to the academic team to determine times that do not conflict with academic scheduling.
The cost to host a Virtual Info Session is $75 +HST. Contact Murilo Tamburus to learn more.
Table Displays
Table displays can be set up around the college for employers looking to connect with students in a less formal environment. These events are posted on our events calendar and social media channels and tend to generate a high volume of foot traffic.
Tables can be set up in program areas or high traffic areas. We recommend Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays and require at least 2 weeks’ notice to book the table.
Booking a table display costs $30 +HST. Contact Murilo Tamburus to learn more.
Social Media
If you are promoting a particular job or event, we are happy to share it on our social media channels. You might be asked for specific content depending on what is going to be posted.
Contact Murilo Tamburus to have your job posting or event shared on our social channels.
Classroom Visits
Many employers want to speak to students in a specific program. This is a great option as the students are all in one place and highly engaged. However, this option requires approval from the Program Coordinator and that your schedules align. We cannot guarantee you class time, but we are happy to connect you to the Program Coordinator to discuss.
There is no cost for classroom visits. They can also be offered in-person or virtually depending on the class delivery method. Contact the Career Consultant for the program you wish to visit.
Grow your business with Fanshawe students!
Level UP is a new program offered by Riipen that gives businesses the opportunity to work with students on short-term (80-hour), fully customizable virtual internships. These project-based internships are funded by the Government of Canada and come at no cost to the employer.
You create the project description and, using the Riipen Marketplace, find students (individually or in groups) with the right skill set to complete them. Project topics can include research, sales support, market expansion, technical skills, business management, communications and much more! Students are then compensated directly by Riipen, eliminating the paperwork you would normally expect.
Canada-Ontario Job Grant
Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) provides opportunities for employers, individually or in groups, to invest in their workforce, with help from the government.
