Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

This internationally recognized certification course is suitable for everyone aged 16 and older who wants to be able to provide suicide first aid.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) gives participants the skills necessary to recognize signs and symptoms of individuals who may be at risk of suicide and create a plan that supports immediate safety.

CPR (Level C or BLS) & AED 

Length: 1/2 Day

This course is designed to meet annual certification requirements and provide CPR lifesaving skills and training based on the participant's background, needs and interests. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is also provided with the course.

Mental Health First Aid

This evaluative training program from the Mental Health Commission of Canada has been adopted by more than 25 countries around the world and is part of The National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) gives participants the skills necessary to recognize, acknowledge, and support individuals with mental health concerns.

Psychological First Aid

Length: 14 Hours

This course equips learners in developing a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief on others, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection. Learners will be introduced to the Red Cross Look, Listen, Link, Live model - a resiliency-building approach to emotional, psychological, and social well-being that teaches learners how to support themselves and others as well as how to cope with the effects of various types of stress. The course primarily uses case-based learning and includes the latest evidence from the international community.

SFA, CPR (Level C or BLS) & AED

Length: 2 Days

This course meets the WSIB 1101 First Aid training requirements for workplaces. Course material ranges from cardiovascular and breathing emergencies, CPR, prevention of disease transmission to more severe sudden medical conditions and injuries to the head and spine. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is also provided. Successful participants will receive a Canadian Red Cross certification that is valid for 3 years.

SFA (Level C or BLS) AED Recertification 1 

Length: 1 Day

Participants must produce a valid Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate to take the recertification course. All Standard First Aid topics are covered as well as CPR (level C or HCP) and AED. Successful participants will receive a Canadian Red Cross recertification that is valid for 3 years.

The Working Mind (TWM) is an evidence-based training program developed to initiate a shift in how you think, act, and feel about mental health. This foundational program is designed to provide practical knowledge and skills to reduce stigma.
Delivered in-person or virtually for employees and managers.
