Tuition reimbursement and subsidy
The tuition reimbursement and subsidy programs provide financial support for full-time employees pursuing post-secondary studies. Many courses offered at Fanshawe College are available for $20, and other college and university tuition fees may be reimbursed at 80% for maximum amounts ranging from $3,000 to $15,000, depending on the awarded diploma or degree.
Professional development leave
Providing the opportunity to be away from the College for up to 12 months after six years of consecutive full-time service, the professional development leave program offers time to focus on learning activities. These paid leaves are taken for a variety of reasons including faculty members working in their industry to enhance currency in their field, or employees pursuing advanced credentials by starting or completing a degree, conducting research, etc.
