Fifteen students and a faculty member from Universidad Politecnica de Ramos Arizpe (UPRA), Mexico recently completed a one-week intensive training program at Fanshawe.
Fanshawe Global recently developed and delivered face-to-face customized training to upskill 15 Mexican university students in composite and advanced materials in aerospace manufacturing.
The program included: a one-day, hands-on visit to our Fanshawe Product Testing laboratory; three-days of theoretical and practical learning in composite and advanced materials in aerospace manufacturing; and a tour of the Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology, London International Airport, Jet Aircraft Museum and the welding labs at Fanshawe’s London Campus. All participants received a certificate of completion upon successfully completing the training.
Raúl Alejandro Luis de Luna, one of the program participants from UPPN in Coahuila, Mexico, reflected on his experience in the training program: “I am studying robotic engineering at my university. The best part of this experience was seeing all the laboratories, robots, CNC equipment and computers. It was so awesome and the people were very nice, too. To be honest, I loved everything about this experience.”
