Gain culinary skills with Continuing Education courses offered downtown

Fanshawe’s Part-Time Studies team is offering three hands-on culinary courses this semester at the London Downtown Campus. Each course runs from Tuesday, March 3 to Tuesday, April 7 and provides practical instruction in a professional kitchen environment. 


BAKE-1018 Let’s Bake Bread 

Students will develop a working knowledge of traditional yeast doughs and bread products while producing rustic loaves, sourdough breads, rolls and crackers.

BAKE-1014 Cake Decorating #1 

This introductory course covers the essential techniques required to transform cakes into polished creations. Students will practice masking, piping, decorative borders, flowers and writing.

FDMG-1135 Vegetarian Cuisine 

Students will explore a wide range of vegetables, spices and preparation methods while learning how to apply proper cooking techniques and knife skills to create flavourful dishes suitable for everyday meals or entertaining.
