On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Hair Stylist students at the Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus received a comprehensive lesson on the impact of Green Circle Salons' efforts, which involve making green changes to participating salons.
Green Circle Salons works with salons and suppliers to reduce the beauty industry's environmental footprint - for example, by repurposing cut human hair for making hair booms, which are used to remove oil from water.

Studio 133, the on-campus hair salon, was certified in 2017, and each of the first- and second-year students at Tuesday's presentation also received individual certificates to acknowledge their completion of the training and their commitment to sustainability.
