Family tuition program

We believe in education! Fanshawe College offers tuition assistance allowing eligible spouses and dependent children of full-time Fanshawe employees to take a Fanshawe College program at no cost, reflecting our vision of ‘Unlocking Potential’.

Retiree benefits

As a Fanshawe College retiree, you may be eligible for retirement benefits which may include extended health, dental, and vision coverage and life insurance through the CAAT Retiree Benefits Program and Sun Life.

You will also be eligible for optional membership in the Fanshawe College Retirees’ Association (FCRA). Remain part of the Fanshawe Community through organized trips, tours and social events, annual meetings and luncheons, as well as access to the College’s PERKS program. Additional opportunities may also be available through the Ontario Colleges Retirees’ Association (OCRA) or the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada (CURC).

Professional Development

Education is at the heart of the Fanshawe experience – for students and employees. Our Organizational Development and Learning team provides a variety of professional development and training opportunities for employees to grow and develop new skills.

Tuition reimbursement

Fanshawe College provides financial support for eligible employees to pursue degrees, diplomas or certificates at other post-secondary institutions through our Tuition Reimbursement Program.

$20 courses

Eligible employees may register for select Fanshawe College courses for a fee of only $20 per course plus the cost of materials (taken on the employee’s own time).

Professional development leave

Fanshawe College is committed to fostering a high-performing, sustainable, and engaging workplace that values employee development and growth. Each year, several professional development (PD) leaves are granted to support employees pursuing College-approved academic, industrial, or other community-related activities to remain current in their field, increase their credentials, or enhance their ability to deliver quality service.

Emerging Leaders

The Fanshawe College Emerging Leaders program aligns with our Strategic Goals and Commitments to attract, develop, retain and advance employees. Actively engaging in the development of employees with high potential for leadership helps prepare them for career possibilities and helps position Fanshawe for future leadership needs. While the Emerging Leaders Program does not guarantee consideration for future job vacancies, several alumni have moved into leadership roles at the College.
