For both the hobbyist and serious musician, youwill be given learn the secrets to the art ofsongwriting like the pros. Study the techniquesused in folk, rock, country, and pop genres towrite your own songs. Special focus will beplaced on song structure, lyrical writing andre-writing, hook and melody composition. Studentswill be given the opportunity to perform theirsongs in class and receive tips on their liveperformance.
