Media Support and Resources for Students

Media Services supports current students by providing access to a wide range of media resources and expertise designed to enhance both academic and extracurricular projects. From borrowing professional audio and video equipment to receiving guidance on software, recording setups, and presentations, our team is available to help you make the most of media technology.  We are here to ensure you have the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed at Fanshawe College.

How Media Services Can Help

  • Media equipment loans for current Fanshawe students to support academic work for photography, video and audio work, as well as projectors for presentation.
  • Opportunities for students to explore creative ideas and new tools outside the classroom like 360 action cameras, podcast mics, phone gimbals.
  • Supporting skill development that connects to multiple programs across the College.
  • Exploration of interests, pathways, and future goals.
     

Borrowing From Media Services

  • Media Services charges late fines at $2/hr/item.
  • Borrowing period for most equipment is up to 48hrs.
  • Laptop loans are limited to on campus use during open hours. Late fines plus a $50/night charge will be issued if not returned on time.
  • All Media Services loans are subject to the Borrower’s Agreement
