Registration for out-of-sequence, overload and part-time students
If your program level is not scheduled to complete a General Education elective, or if you are required to pay fees for your elective, then you are considered a fee-paying student — out-of-sequence, overload, or part-time.
- Students required to pay fees may include those who missed, failed or withdrawn from an elective in a previous semester; are taking an General Education elective when they are not scheduled to do so, or are Part-Time Post-Secondary students—defined as those who applied for their program through OCAS.
You may be Out-of-Sequence because:
- You took a Gen Ed elective before, but you failed or withdrew from it, and you now need to pick up a Gen Ed to fulfill your program’s graduation requirements, OR
- You missed taking your elective during your scheduled term, OR
- You are a part-time student, OR
- You are working ahead, OR
- You placed out of WRIT - in this instance, please follow the WRIT Place-Out link for more information.
As a result, you will not be able to register for your course via WebAdvisor. Seats for Part-Time, Overload and/or Out-of-Sequence students are limited and are first come, first served only.
