Preparatory Programs
Business Fundamentals
Enter the business world with basic principles of business organization, communication, business mathematics, accounting, and marketing.
Design Foundations
Explore a career in design by developing your portfolio and skills in design principles, drawing and colour theory, and design technologies.
Fine Art Foundation
Build a solid, technical foundation in fine arts by learning painting, drawing, video, sculpture and photography.
General Arts and Science-One Year
Strengthen your written and verbal communications skills necessary for employment and continue to a variety of other career-path programs.
Human Services Foundation
If you’re interested in a career in human and community services, this preparatory program offers a combination of classwork and presentations from human services workers, while learning about community services and career programs.
Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees
This one year program prepares students for an advanced diploma or degree program in the health sciences, studying health career subject areas.
Pre-Media
Begin your introduction to various media industries through courses in visual media, storytelling, audio fundamentals, interactive media and design, communications, performance and collaborative media production.
Trade Fundamentals
Dive into a variety of technology career areas and learn the fundamentals of technology with a hands-on approach to electronics, welding, machining, computer applications, physics and transportation.
Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas
The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program prepares students for further study in healthcare and science-related fields. You’ll build foundational knowledge in biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry and mathematics while developing communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Certificate Programs
Fanshawe also offers a number of one-year certificate programs that provide the skills and knowledge you need to get started in the workplace, or to continue your studies. Gain practical, hands-on experience as well as technical skills, and graduate with an Ontario College Certificate.
