Permanent Disability Grant

Students with disabilities who are eligible for OSAP will be assessed for the Permanent Disability Grant as part of their OSAP application and funding with supporting documentation (e.g. the OSAP Disability Verification Form). This money can be used for school-related expenses and it does not have to be repaid.

Bursaries and Grants for Students with Disabilities

The Ontario Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD) and the Canada Student Grant for Services and Equipment for Students with Disabilities (CSG-DSE) provide financial assistance to eligible full-time and part-time postsecondary students in Ontario who have either permanent or persistent/prolonged disabilities. These programs help cover the costs of disability-related services and equipment necessary for academic participation. You will need to connect with your Accessibility Services Counsellor to determine your eligibility and complete an application. We encourage you to do so ASAP as applications can take several weeks to process.

We encourage you to apply for these bursaries and grants ASAP, as applications can take several weeks to process and must be submitted by deadlines set by the Financial Aid Department. Your Accessibility Services Counsellor can advise you on when these deadlines are.
